What is IP?
IP rating is a scale used to determine the level of protection of electronic devices against harmful external factors, such as various types of pollutants, dust, dirt and water.
The IP rating consists of two digits. The first digit (ranging from 0 to 6) determines the level of resistance of the device to solid objects, such as dust. The second digit (ranging from 0 to 9) indicates the level of protection of the device against water.
For example, if the second digit of the IP rating is 7, it means that the electronic device can be fully immersed in water for 30 minutes.
